Volga German Conference - 9am-3pm, doors open at 8:30am.
    We are limiting seating to 65 and pre-registration will be required; cost is $10/person.
    LUNCH: Bring your own bagged lunch. Coffee, tea and snacks will be provided by the

  register. Steve Schreiber will do two presentations and we will have a beginning genealogy session
    and one on publishing your results in a family history book. Click here for a schedule of events.

Library will be open. Tickets for the Harvest Dinner October 21, 2017 will be on sale-$20.
Saturday, October 21, 2017   Harvest Dinner, doors open at 10:30am, "NEW" - meal at 11:30. Meal - Pork Schnitzel or Chicken Cutlet.
    Ticket cost is $20 and must be reserved by October 13(call Phil at 403-252-8537 or Anne: 403-246-6968)
    with your meal selection. Program - Brent Mai will speak at 12:45pm.
    Brent Mai is also hosting an all day event (click here for information and registration form). His event
    costs $50 and includes the Chapter dinner. If you do not wish to attend his all day seminar, please order
    your dinner tickets through Phil or Anne.
Saturday, December 2, 2017   Christmas party. Doors at 11am, library will be open at 10am. Finger food lunch at noon provided by the
    society. Bring an item for the bake/craft sale and/or dessert table. There will be a door prize. Program:
    1:00 p.m. - Marlene will have questions for a quiz with prizes for the winning tables. We will also have
    music/singing. Reading of the Christmas Story will be done after the program, then we will sing Silent
    Night as the last song with candlelight (battery operated tea lights).
Saturday, January 20, 2018   Hot Potluck meal at noon. FOOD DEMO: 11 a.m., presentation by Fritz Kiessling - NOCKERL (dumplings).
    LIBRARY/DOORS OPEN: 10:30 a.m., program at 1pm - show & share DNA.
    Tickets ($20) will be available for the February 24th Annual General Meeting.
Saturday, February 24, 2018   Annual general meeting with annual reports by the executive. LIBRARY OPEN: 10:00 a.m.
    DOORS OPEN: 11:00 a.m. LUNCH: 12:00 noon: Chicken or Ham, cost $20
    and must be purchased ahead of time. (CALL: PHIL ROHL - 403-252-8537 or ANNE
    STANG - 403-246-6968). These meetings are a chance to see how the Chapter is doing. What
    can be changed, where are we going? This is your time to voice your opinions and suggestions,
    so please support your Chapter. There are elections scheduled this year.
